Jono Wong: ChiropracticChiropractic is not just "Cracking Spines" as some might say, as there is more to the sound that you think! The Chiropractic Adjustment can be applied to every joint in the body if needed and is learnt over 5 years of University, then honed over many years of practice. It can be a large portion of a Chiropractor's focus, however Jono believes that Chiropractic Adjustments are just one of the many tools he has in his belt to fix a problem. Along with many massage techniques, dry needling, stretching and exercise protocols, there are a vast number of injuries that Jono can help heal.
Fixing Issues from the Foundation upThe initial stage of injury treatment usually involves treating areas in pain, however it is very important to find and address the fundamental cause of why the injury existed in the first place.
Sporting Injuries and accidents are quite easily diagnosed and treated because the mechanism of injury is clear, but the majority of injuries that seem to spontaneously happen without cause are more common and are usually due to various lifestyle factors, work related repetitive strains and poor posture. This is where Jono excels, addressing and correcting the foundational issues behind the presenting injury. |

The Man of Many Hats
Jono Wong studied in Macquarie University of Sydney obtaining his Masters of Chiropractic Degree in 2009. His interest in the profession developed due to his many injuries he obtained through Competitive Gymnastics and Skateboarding through his teenage years, of which he had treated by Chiropractors and Physiotherapists. He felt that the combination of both professions were necessary to keep him healthy and extremely active.
It was vital to have a healthy spine in order not to have back and neck problems but balancing out muscle weakness and tightness is also very important. If he had also known about Dry Needling and Acupuncture at the time, he probably would have had it as a treatment option as well. After competing for the NSW Gymnastics team in 2010, he sought out to learn more about human movement and stumbled upon and Martial Arts Tricking of which he is deemed as one of the Founding Fathers of the sport in Australia. Currently he is attempting to guide Martial Arts Tricking towards becoming a bigger and more recognised sport. Jono is a "Man of Many Hats" and has far too many interests for his own good. He is a Martial Arts Tricking Instructor, A Stuntman, a Live Entertainment Show Performer and a Aquaponics Enthusiast. He has three fluffy children - Yoshi and Koko, the white and fluffy Japanese Spitzs and Chito the Chihuahua, |
