Treatment Types & Options
There are many different treatment options that will be used in a Chiropractic Session. Depending on what needs to be corrected with your body to fix the problem, many or all of the techniques below may be utilised to get the best result for the healing process.
Chiropractic AdjustmentsThere is more to the "crack" that meets the eye...or ears. A Chiropractic Adjustment is the movement of a bone back into its ideal position to optimize the function of the joint and its surrounding muscles, ligaments, tendons and nerves.

Massage
Massage is always included in an Initial Consultation and Standard Consultation, as most injuries have some level of involvement of the muscular system. If the muscular portion of an injury is not addressed, the healing can take longer or the problem can return later down the track.

Dry Needling
Dry Needling is the Western derivative of the Traditional Chinese Medicine practice called Acupuncture. It is usually incorporated into a treatment session for very stubborn muscle knots and spasms, tendonitis or acute ligament and muscle strains.

Kenisio Taping
Kenesiology Tape is an elastic adhesive coton tape that can be used in many different ways! It can help support your new or old muscle and joint injuries whilst still alowing certain amount of movement of the joints and muscles to promote faster healing and less pain in the process.

Facilitated Stretching
PNF and PIR (Propreoceptive Nuromuscular Facilitation and Propreoceptive Inhabition Relaxation) are the two styles of stretching that is mostly used in Chiropractic treatment sessions when needed. These two styles involve types of muscle contraction and breathing techniques to facilitate flexibility, strengthening or relaxing of the muscle group targeted.

Rehabilitative Exercises
No matter what the injury, rehabilitative exercises must be done to return the body back to normal. The exercises then progress to the next level to strengthen the body to prevent injuries in the future.
